As one of the hotspots of ornamental fish biodiversity in South-East Asia, Myanmar is home to at least 100 species of ornamental fishes. Myanmar has many rivers, natural lakes and streams, a large variety of habitats for many species of freshwater fishes including ornamental fish. In this web site, 34 species of Myanmar ornamental fishes are illustrated in color pictures and some information about them is given. |
